The Old Stables Furniture Company is a custom furniture brand located on the Gascoyne Cecil Estate in the historic village of Mill Green, Hertfordshire, built with the explicit aim to design and build classic furniture that showcases the natural raw beauty of wood.

Our guiding light is that the natural features and colourings, and even imperfections such as knots or splits, of the wood we use, form a key highlight of any of our work.

We make all our furniture to order, so all our furniture, including any products on our site, is entirely customisable. This means if we don’t display exactly what you need, we can create it for you, whether that be custom sizes, different edges, or bespoke finishes.

The Old Stables brand is the furniture wing of Acorn French Polishing, one of Hertfordshire’s leading French Polishers. This gives Old Stables furniture exclusive access to their expertise in creating and applying beautiful wood finishes.
